Nadia Q. Ahmad is a poet, writer, and editor. Her work has appeared in publications such as The Shoreline Review, Poets & Writers Magazine, Newtown Literary, and AAWW’s The Margins. She has received awards from Aspen Words and the Fine Arts Work Center. She is a VONA/Voices and Kweli Journal workshop alum and also facilitates various writing workshops of her own.

Born and raised in New York City, Nadia is of Bangladeshi descent and currently lives in Queens. Passionate about working at the intersection of culture and community, she has more than 15 years of experience with grassroots arts organizations and initiatives in the area. Nadia’s professional roles have included Program Associate at the Asian American Writers’ Workshop (AAWW) and Editorial Fellow at Poets & Writers. She also received a 2014 Neighborhood Leadership Award from Chhaya CDC and currently serves on the board of the Bangladesh Institute of Performing Arts (BIPA), as well as the editorial board of the QUEENSBOUND collaborative poetry project.
